Propulsion seems to have advanced. You have ships accelerating and
moving tens of light seconds in a matter of hours while people sip tea on
board in normal seats perpendicular to the direction of thrust instead of
being smeared against walls from the acceleration. So the
pseudo-scientific BS field of gravity manipulation seems to be alive and
well also.
