 Well, so far, there are 8 volumes of the manga.  As for artbooks, I know 
 of at least one book which contains art from the anime.  (I think there 
 is one for the manga as well.)

The manga artist has a roman album out called "Legend of Galactic Heroes -
Michihara Katsumi Illustrations" The ISBN(or something like that)is 
T1061578211808.
It has some beautiful pictures it - I have some scanned in and rotate them as
my computer's wallpaper.
